Co-Creating the Future.
Rooted in Purpose.
Aligned for Life.
Founded by a local educator and school leader, The Resonance Lab was created to offer a learning environment that honors the whole childāacademically, emotionally, and energetically.
Located at the Blue Ash YMCA, The Resonance Lab is a purpose-driven microschool in the Greater Cincinnati area designed for students in grad es Kā5 who thrive in strengths-based learning environments that prioritize agency, leadership, nature-based exploration, and human-centered education.
Enrollment Opens January 15!
Now Enrolling Grades Kā5 for 2026ā2027
The Resonance Lab is now welcoming families interested in enrollment for the 2026ā2027 school year for grades Kā5. Our microschool serves a limited number of students to support strong relationships, individualized learning, and a calm, human-centered environment.
Enrollment opens January 15, and spots are limited.
Our Why
In 2025, the microschooling movement in the U.S. has grown to serve over one million full-time learners, and many more part-time, driven by concerns with mental health, lack of engagement, and misalignment with traditional schooling values. Families are turning away because they want their children to gain not only academically (with 81% of microschools reporting 1 to 2 years of learning in a single year), but also to flourish socially and emotionally.
At The Resonance Lab, we are answering this demand by crafting a wellness-led microschool that sees the student as a whole human. We are driven by the vision of learning grounded in integrity, autonomy, and purpose, where agency and voice matter as much as mastery and grades.
Our Mission
We are committed to creating a learning environment where students lead with authenticity and foster self-awareness by providing purpose-driven experiences that nurture resilience, autonomy, and aligned leadership.
The Resonance Lab
Educational Approach
Guiding Belief
We believe every child is born with innate wisdom, purpose, and energy rhythms that deserve to be honored. Learning should be rooted in self-awareness, authenticity, and co-creation so that students not only thrive academically but grow into resilient, purpose-driven leaders who contribute meaningfully to the world.
Pillars of Our Approach
1. Love ā Rooted in Relationship
Every student is seen, known, and honored for who they are becoming.
Advisory circles, mindfulness check-ins, and intentional rituals anchor the school day in connection.
Teachers (āfacilitatorsā) serve as mentors, cultivating trust and deep care.
2. Autonomy ā Led from Within
Students design personalized learning pathways aligned to their interests, energy, and goals.
Learning contracts and choice-driven projects replace one-size-fits-all assignments.
Reflection practices help students track progress and notice energetic rhythms (when they feel most alive, curious, or challenged).
3. Co-Creation ā Learning as a Shared Act
Curriculum is designed collaboratively, with student voice shaping everything from inquiry projects to community agreements.
āLabsā replace traditional classes: interdisciplinary, hands-on explorations of real-world challenges.
Parents and community partners join as co-creators, offering mentorship, expertise, and authentic experiences.
4. Authentic Leadership ā Be Who You Are. Lead From There.
Leadership is not a title, itās a practice. Every student has opportunities to lead through service, storytelling, and group initiatives.
Students explore Human Design, personality tools, and mindfulness practices to understand their own leadership style.
Leadership development is integrated into every project: reflection prompts, peer feedback, and public exhibitions cultivate resilience and courage.
5. Equity & Belonging ā Power With, Not Power Over
Diverse identities and perspectives shape our shared culture.
We dismantle hierarchies of power by amplifying student voice and prioritizing inclusion.
Accessible pathways ensure all students can participate fully in learning and leadership.
